On May 31 and June 1, 2022, our symposium could finally take place again after the pandemic-related cancellation in 2021!
34 customers and interested parties travelled to Heidelberg and, as in 2019, gathered at the arthotel in Heidelberg's Old Town.
After the presentation of the current target team, Thomas Korves from LVM and our consulting employee, Johanna Stratemeier, opened the conference program with an exciting guessing game about the transition of LVM from WD4A to FIORI. The choice of the candidate for "Who will be the FIORI millionaire?" fell on Robin Müller-Cajar who had to answer the quizmaster, Thomas Korves (LVM).
After some general introductory questions about FIORI, the respondent and the audience were introduced to the course of the project, the challenges and successes. The result of the FIORI conversion with short live images from LVM Idea Management complemented the advanced detailed questions on the way to the "FIORI million".
Thanks to audience and telephone jokers as well as a 50:50 chance, the target development manager cracked the million-FIORI question at the end of the quiz and was named a "FIORI millionaire".
Achim Noe and Robin Müller-Cajar concluded the thematic part of the first day of the event with explanations on the product strategy in target Idea Management and the innovations in Release 10.0.
Above all, the two discussed the improvements of a Fiori application to the previous user interface with Web Dynpro and at least provided a quick overview of the many further developments and improvements in idea management since the last conference.
The participants of this year's symposium met for dinner in the "Wirtshaus zum Seppl". The "Seppl" can look back on a long tradition. As early as the late 17th century, students and citizens met here over a convivial jug of beer. Our guests did the same – quaint, rustic and unique, the evening ended with regional delicacies at a late hour.
On the morning of the second day of the event, Roland Rausch from the Zentrum Ideenmanagement led our participants into "Idea Management in Organizations Today" and explained why idea management today is much more than employee suggestion scheme and continuous improvement process!
Following Mr. Rausch's presentation, the participants could choose between two workshops: The "Interactive development roadmap for target Idea Management on-premise" could be discussed with Robin Müller-Cajar and thus requirements for target development could be formulated. In his workshop "Human Centric Design as a Value Driver of Idea Management", Roland Rausch worked in two workshop teams on the question of how to make it easier for people to generate and implement relevant ideas.
At the next agenda item, Andreas Staab from SCHOTT AG was given the floor and presented to our participants how SCHOTT AG planned and carried out an international campaign on the topic of "SCHOTT– Climate Neutral 2030"—a really interesting presentation about a very successful campaign in which SCHOTT AG is now saving 41,000 tons of CO2 per year thanks to almost 1500 ideas submitted.
The technical program of our event was rounded off by the presentation of target Campaign Management 3.0. Achim Noe and Robin Müller-Cajar gave insights into the current state of developments and presented the planned innovations. The range of tasks of campaign management was highlighted, and the latest version of the target software showed how easy it is for employees to plan, create and publish a campaign.
Hanno Hofmann, CEO of Walldorf Consulting AG and since March 1, 2021 also owner of target Software Solution GmbH, ended the event with a short introduction of his person and an outlook on the goals of target in the coming years.
The feedback from the participants was again extremely positive. Above all, the exchange "among colleagues" and with the target team was highlighted as enriching, as in previous years. The evaluation of the submitted feedback forms resulted in a grade point average of 1.4!
We would like to thank the speakers from LVM, SCHOTT and Zentrum Ideenmanagement for their willingness to present their idea management and their activities to the circle of our participants!
And of course we would like to thank all participants for this successful event! The entire target team is looking forward to welcoming you again at the next conference!
